Old Moe Guide Service is a Utah Flyfishing Guide Service that also offers guided fishing trips on scenic Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
Old Moe has been a Professional Green River Flyfishing Service for 26 years on the Green River. You have the opportunity to catch rainbows, several strains of browns, cutthroats, cutbows and brookies. While you are fly fishing the Green River, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the colorful Red Canyon, the clear emerald water, and the abundant wildlife.
Old Moe Guide Service is owned and operated by Terry and
Gayle Collier.
Terry, an expert fly fisherman, fishing guide and
long-time white water guide, is a local man, born and raised in Vernal,
Utah. He grew up flyfishing the Green River prior to the Flaming Gorge dam, and has seen the Green
river and the fishery go through it's many changes.
The best way to enjoy this world class fishery is by a guided float /
fishing trips. We float in McKenzie drift boats on Utah's Green River,
and a comfortable 24' jet boat on our Flaming Gorge reservoir trips. Our fishing trips are led
by experienced, and professional flyfishing guides.

Green River Day fly fishing trips - We provide a hearty lunch, soft drinks and ice water.
Green River Overnight fly fishing trips - We provide breakfast, lunch and Dutch
oven dinners, soft drinks and ice water. We also provide tents. Sleaping units and pads are extra.

Old Moe Guide Service is located in Dutch John, Utah, just three miles
from Flaming Gorge Dam. We are about a three and a half hour drive east
along I-80 from Salt Lake City, a six hour drive west from
Denver, Colorado on I-80, or about an hour south of Rock Springs,
Wyoming on US-191. Air service and car rental are available in Rock
Springs, Wyoming and Vernal, Utah located 50 miles south of Dutch John.
Dutch John is located in the northeast corner of Utah and on the
northeast end of the Uinta mountains, the only mountain range in North
America that runs east and west. Due to our location, the weather
patterns we experience can be very extreme. Temperatures can fluctuate
20 to 30 degrees in as little as an hour. Be sure to bring warm
clothes, rain gear and waders.
We encourage, support and practice CATCH and RELEASE.
All Utah fishing licenses are now computer generated. Please purchase your fishing license before leaving on your fishing trip.
